UNIX System Administrator

At Morgan Stanley, we are currently looking for a highly-skilled and experienced UNIX System Administrator with a passion for technology and the ability to drive innovation. The successful candidate will be a key member of our Infrastructure team and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our UNIX systems. We are looking for a professional with solid experience in UNIX system administration, knowledge of scripting languages, and experience in a large-scale enterprise environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is able to work both independently and collaboratively, and can also handle challenging tasks under pressure. The ability to solve complex problems quickly and effectively is a must. Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage the UNIX systems in a large-scale enterprise environment
• Proactively troubleshoot and identify potential problems to minimize downtime
• Configure and install UNIX systems and applications
• Develop and maintain scripting languages
• Monitor system performance and availability
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members
• Create, review and maintain system documentation
• Develop and implement best practices and standards for UNIX systems
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure successful integration of systems
