  1. Lead the development and implementation of innovative technologies and systems for future space missions.
  2. Provide strategic direction and vision for the Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate.
  3. Collaborate with other NASA departments to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
  4. Oversee the planning, budgeting, and execution of projects within the mission directorate.
  5. Identify and assess new technologies and techniques to enhance exploration capabilities.
  6. Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
  7. Manage and mentor a team of engineers and project managers.
  8. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the mission directorate.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and stakeholders.
  10. Represent the mission directorate in internal and external meetings and conferences.
  11. Stay informed about advancements in the space exploration field and incorporate them into future projects.
  12. Provide regular updates and reports on the progress of projects to senior management.
  13. Evaluate and mitigate potential risks and challenges in project execution.
  14. Collaborate with other NASA departments and international partners to coordinate and execute joint missions.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering, Physics, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 10 Years Of Experience In The Aerospace Industry, With A Focus On Space Exploration.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Nasa's Mission And Goals, Particularly In Regards To Exploration Systems Development.

  • Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading Teams And Completing Complex Projects.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Coordinate With A Diverse Group Of Stakeholders, Including Government Agencies, Contractors, And International Partners.
