Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Community Development Loan Officer to join the National Bank of Canada team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing financial solutions to local businesses and non-profit organizations, as well as a commitment to creating a positive impact in the community. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, as well as at least three years of experience in a commercial or community banking role. We are looking for someone who is a team player, has strong communication skills, and is capable of working independently. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and evaluate the financial needs of local businesses and non-profit organizations.
  2. Develop loan packages, assess creditworthiness, and make recommendations to senior management.
  3. Provide financial solutions to meet the needs of clients.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients.
  5. Keep up to date on industry trends and regulations.
  6. Monitor loan portfolios and ensure compliance with all banking regulations.
  7. Work with other departments to ensure the successful implementation of loan products.
  8. Participate in community initiatives to support economic development.
  9. Stay current on loan products and offerings.
  10. Develop and implement strategies for increasing loan revenues.
