We are seeking a passionate and experienced Software Engineer - Microservices Developer to join the NatWest Group team. We believe in pushing boundaries to help customers build a better future and are looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for technology.This role requires a self-starter who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, with the motivation and initiative to develop and maintain software solutions to deliver projects in a timely manner. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and a proven track record of developing microservices.To be successful in this role, you must have: • A good understanding of microservice architectures • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot and Node.js • Experience working with cloud-based solutions and platforms such as AWS or Azure • Experience working with relational databases and NoSQL databases• Excellent problem solving and communication skillsIf this sounds like the ideal opportunity for you, we look forward to hearing from you!

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain software solutions to deliver projects in a timely manner.
Design and implement microservice architectures.
Develop and test code using Java, Spring Boot and Node.js.
Work with cloud-based solutions and platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Work with relational databases and NoSQL databases.
Identify and troubleshoot technical issues.
Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure a successful project delivery.
Ensure quality assurance and application security.
Develop documentation and training materials for users.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
