
Standards Design Manager, Anti-Money Laundering & Counter-Terrorism Financing

- Develop and implement standards and procedures for preventing financial crime, specifically money laundering and terrorism financing, in accordance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the standards are effectively integrated into the organization's policies and processes.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of the standards to ensure their effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Analyze data and trends related to financial crime to identify potential vulnerabilities and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay current with industry developments and regulatory changes in relation to AML/CTF to continuously improve the standards.
- Lead training and education initiatives for employees to ensure understanding and adherence to the standards.
- Work closely with other departments, such as risk management and legal, to assess and mitigate potential financial crime risks.
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to the organization on AML/CTF standards and regulations.
- Participate in external forums and working groups to share knowledge and best practices and contribute to the development of industry standards.
- Foster a culture of ethical and responsible conduct within the organization and promote awareness of the importance of AML/CTF compliance.
- Regularly report on the effectiveness of the standards to senior management and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies and tools in the AML/CTF space and assess their potential for integration into the organization's standards.
- Mentor and coach junior team members to improve their knowledge and skills in AML/CTF standards development and implementation.
Strong Knowledge Of Aml And Ctf Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Anti-Money Laundering And Counter-Terrorism Financing Regulations, Including The Requirements Set By Regulatory Bodies Such As The Financial Conduct Authority (Fca) And Financial Action Task Force (Fatf).
Experience In Designing And Implementing Aml/Ctf Standards: The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Aml/Ctf Standards And Policies Within A Financial Institution. This Includes Conducting Risk Assessments, Creating Control Frameworks, And Monitoring Compliance.
Leadership And Project Management Skills: As A Standards Design Manager, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team And Managing Projects Related To Aml/Ctf Standards. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills Are Essential.
Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills To Assess And Identify Potential Aml/Ctf Risks And Gaps In The Current Standards. They Should Also Be Able To Provide Effective Solutions To Mitigate These Risks.
Communication And Influencing Abilities: A Key Aspect Of This Role Is To Collaborate With Various Stakeholders, Including Senior Management, To Ensure The Effective Implementation Of Aml/Ctf Standards. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Influencing Abilities Are Crucial For The Role.
