- Develop and implement strategic publicity plans for MSNBC Films and Weekend Programming, in alignment with the network's overall brand and messaging.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure coverage and promote the network's content.
- Coordinate and manage all press materials, including press releases, media kits, and screeners, ensuring they are timely, accurate, and in line with the network's standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and social media, to develop integrated campaigns and promotional opportunities for the network's films and weekend shows.
- Act as a spokesperson for the network, conducting interviews and representing the network at industry events and screenings.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage and provide regular reports to track the success of publicity efforts and make recommendations for future campaigns.
- Assist in the planning and execution of press events, screenings, and other promotional activities.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and news, identifying opportunities for the network to leverage and engage with.
- Work closely with talent and their representatives to coordinate interviews and appearances, and ensure their messaging is in line with the network's objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential crisis situations and develop crisis communications plans.
- Assist in managing budgets and expenses related to publicity efforts.
- Continuously seek out new and innovative ways to promote the network's films and weekend shows, staying ahead of industry trends and changes.
Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Journalism, Or Related Field.
At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In Public Relations, Preferably In The Entertainment Industry.
Strong Writing And Communication Skills, With A Proven Ability To Craft Compelling Press Releases And Pitches.
Knowledge Of Media Landscape And Experience In Securing Press Coverage For Events And Projects.
