  1. Work closely with senior buyers to assist in the selection and purchase of ready to wear merchandise for Neiman Marcus Group.
  2. Conduct market research and analysis to identify current and upcoming trends in the luxury fashion industry.
  3. Assist in creating and maintaining relationships with vendors and designers to ensure access to the best merchandise.
  4. Help monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for reorders and new purchases.
  5. Collaborate with planning and allocation teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of merchandise.
  6. Assist in negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
  7. Ensure that all purchasing decisions align with the brand's image and target market.
  8. Review and analyze sales data to make informed decisions on product assortment and pricing.
  9. Attend fashion shows, trade shows, and other industry events to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and collections.
  10. Provide support to the buying team with administrative tasks, such as creating purchase orders and maintaining accurate records.
  11. Maintain a strong understanding of the luxury fashion market, including competitor analysis and pricing strategies.
  12. Collaborate with visual merchandising team to ensure optimal product placement and presentation in stores.
  13. Communicate with store teams to gather feedback on merchandise performance and make necessary adjustments.
  14. Uphold the company's standards of excellence in customer service and create an exceptional shopping experience for customers.
  15. Assist in training and mentoring junior buying team members.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Fashion Merchandising Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Buying Or Retail Merchandising, Preferably In The Ready To Wear Category

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Ability To Interpret Sales Data And Trends

  • Knowledge Of Current Fashion Trends And Designers In The Ready To Wear Market

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Vendors And Internal Teams.
