
Designer Ready to Wear
We are seeking a passionate and creative Designer to join our Ready to Wear team at Neiman Marcus Group. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your talent and contribute to the development of our high-end fashion collections. Our ideal candidate is a trend-savvy individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of the luxury market. - Develop and design high-quality and innovative ready to wear collections for Neiman Marcus Group.
- Stay up-to-date with current fashion trends and translate them into designs that align with the brand's aesthetic.
- Collaborate with the design team to brainstorm and conceptualize new ideas for collections.
- Create detailed sketches and technical drawings for designs.
- Work closely with the product development team to select fabrics, trims, and other materials for each collection.
- Oversee the production process to ensure the timely delivery of designs.
- Conduct market research to identify consumer preferences and inform design decisions.
- Attend fashion shows and events to gather inspiration and stay informed about industry trends.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the luxury market and competitors.
- Ensure all designs meet the brand's standards for quality and excellence.
- Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure accurate execution of designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing and sales, to promote and market collections.
- Attend fittings and make necessary adjustments to designs.
- Manage multiple design projects and meet strict deadlines.
- Continuously seek ways to improve and enhance designs to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
- Mentor and train junior designers to help them develop their skills.
- Represent Neiman Marcus Group at fashion events and networking opportunities.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including brand guidelines and ethical standards.
- Act as a brand ambassador and uphold the brand's image at all times.
- Stay informed about industry developments and advancements in design techniques and technology.
Bachelor's Degree In Fashion Design Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Designing Ready-To-Wear Collections.
Strong Understanding Of Current Fashion Trends And Ability To Translate Them Into Commercial Designs.
Proficiency In Adobe Creative Suite And Other Design Software.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With A Proven Track Record Of Working With Cross-Functional Teams And Meeting Deadlines.
