- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of new hardware products, from concept to launch.
- Manage the Hardware New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure a smooth and successful launch.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to develop and deliver high-quality products.
- Lead the development and execution of product launch plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and market trends, and incorporate findings into product development and launch strategies.
- Work closely with engineering teams to define product requirements and specifications.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of hardware components.
- Develop and maintain product documentation, including specifications, user manuals, and technical guides.
- Monitor product performance and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop plans for product enhancements.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activity to inform product strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences to promote our products and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Train and mentor team members on NPI process best practices and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards for all new hardware products.
- Drive business growth by identifying and pursuing new opportunities for product development and expansion.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the NPI process to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Experience In New Product Introduction (Npi) Processes: The Operations Product Manager Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Npi Process, Including Developing Launch Plans, Managing Cross-Functional Teams, And Coordinating With Suppliers And Partners.
Technical Aptitude: This Role Requires A Strong Technical Background In Hardware Product Development, Including Understanding Of Engineering Principles And Ability To Review Technical Designs And Specifications.
Project Management Skills: The Operations Product Manager Must Have Excellent Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Create And Manage Schedules, Track Progress, And Mitigate Risks To Ensure On-Time And Successful Product Launches.
Supply Chain Management Experience: Netapp Is A Global Company With A Complex Supply Chain. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Managing Suppliers, Negotiating Contracts, And Optimizing Supply Chain Processes To Ensure Cost-Effective And Timely Delivery Of Hardware Products.
