- Collaborate with content creators and music industry professionals to secure the rights for music used in Netflix original productions.
- Review and analyze music licenses and contracts to ensure compliance with legal and financial requirements.
- Negotiate and finalize music license agreements with artists, record labels, and publishers.
- Conduct research to identify and acquire new music for potential use in upcoming productions.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and music rights holders to ensure a smooth clearance process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all music licenses and agreements.
- Proactively identify and address any potential clearance issues or conflicts.
- Stay current on industry trends and changes in music copyright laws and regulations.
- Assist in budget management for music clearance and licensing.
- Work closely with the legal team to ensure all music usage is in compliance with copyright laws and regulations.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring timelines and deadlines are met.
- Maintain strong relationships with music industry professionals and partners.
- Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by superiors.
Bachelor's Degree In Music Business, Entertainment Law, Or A Related Field.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Music Clearance And Licensing, Preferably In The Entertainment Industry.
Familiarity With Music Rights And Copyright Laws, Including The Ability To Navigate Complex Contracts And Negotiations.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Music Publishers, Labels, And Artists.
Proficiency In Music Licensing Software And Databases, As Well As An Understanding Of Music Metadata And Cue Sheet Creation.
