Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of investigators and response specialists to handle customer privacy concerns and potential security threats.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for customer trust and privacy in accordance with industry standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Product, and Engineering, to ensure alignment on privacy and security practices.
- Monitor and analyze customer data for any potential security vulnerabilities and take prompt action to mitigate risks.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents and breaches and provide timely and accurate reports to management.
- Collaborate with external law enforcement agencies and other partners as needed during security incidents.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and regulations related to customer privacy and security.
- Lead training and awareness programs for employees on privacy and security best practices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and resolution of customer privacy concerns.
- Continuously review and improve existing processes and procedures to enhance our approach to customer trust and privacy.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of investigations and response activities.
- Provide recommendations and insights to leadership on potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Serve as a key point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns related to privacy and security.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive customer data.
- Represent Netflix in a professional manner in all interactions with customers, partners, and external stakeholders.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to information security and data privacy.
Extensive Experience In Investigations And Response Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Managing Investigations And Response Processes, Preferably In A Customer Trust And Privacy-Related Role. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Industry Best Practices And Regulations Related To Data Protection And Privacy.
Strong Knowledge Of Data Protection And Privacy Laws: The Candidate Should Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of Global Data Protection And Privacy Laws, Including Gdpr, Ccpa, And Other Relevant Regulations. They Should Be Able To Apply This Knowledge To Ensure Compliance And Mitigate Potential Risks.
Exceptional Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Manager, The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Liaise With Internal Teams, External Stakeholders, And Law Enforcement Agencies. They Should Also Have Strong Interpersonal Skills To Lead And Motivate A Team Of Investigators Effectively.
Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Investigations & Response Manager Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Analyze Complex Information And Data To Identify Patterns And Trends. They Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Develop Effective Solutions To Mitigate Potential Risks.
Proven Track Record Of Managing High-Profile Investigations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Managing High-Profile Investigations Related To Data Protection And Privacy. They Should Be Able To Demonstrate Their Ability To Handle Sensitive Information With Discretion And Confidentiality While Ensuring Timely And Effective Resolution Of The Issue.
