- Provide legal guidance and support to the Data & Insights teams at Netflix.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and regulations in all aspects of the company's operations.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and changes in technology and data privacy laws.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate legal risks related to product and technology development.
- Advise on legal implications of new product features and initiatives.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to product development and data usage.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
- Develop and maintain legal policies and procedures related to data privacy and technology.
- Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal matters related to data and technology.
- Manage and oversee outside counsel as needed.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to stay informed on best practices and industry trends.
- Collaborate with other members of the Legal department to develop and implement company-wide legal strategies.
- Monitor and advise on potential legal and regulatory risks related to data and technology.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of legal support for data and technology initiatives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to other team members and foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School.
Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience Practicing Law, With A Focus On Data Privacy And Technology-Related Legal Issues.
Extensive Knowledge Of Global Data Protection Laws, Including Gdpr And Ccpa.
Previous Experience Advising On Legal Matters Related To Product Development And Technology, Preferably In The Entertainment Industry.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Effectively Manage And Mentor A Team Of Legal Professionals.
