
QA Analyst / Engineer
New York Life is seeking a passionate and skilled QA Analyst/Engineer to take their technical abilities to the next level within Insurance Solutions. Participate actively in the design and build phases of a given project and deliver high quality QA deliverables. Define the project/program QA strategy and execute the plan from start to finish. Provide project and/or release estimates for QA efforts and QA resource requirements. Manage and create test plans, execute test cases for system maintenance/project releases. Report status and provide recommendations on improving QA methodology and Test environments Develop metrics and keep QA manager aware of potential quality risks. Set up project specific testing environments and coordinate defect tracking, reporting and resolution. Perform all QA activities using appropriate test tools, common routines & best practices to promote reusability.
Practical experience (5-7 years) in Quality Assurance
Strong knowledge of Test Automation Frameworks
Experience in working with various databases like Oracle and SQLSERVER
Experience using Oracle TOAD and writing extensive SQL queries
