- Safely operate NYPA aircraft and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Transport personnel and equipment to and from various NYPA facilities, including remote and challenging locations.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness and make critical decisions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Collaborate with NYPA maintenance and operations personnel to ensure aircraft are properly maintained and ready for flight at all times.
- Communicate effectively with air traffic control and other aviation professionals to ensure safe and efficient flight operations.
- Adhere to NYPA safety protocols and procedures at all times, including pre-flight inspections, emergency procedures, and post-flight debriefs.
- Keep accurate records of flight logs, maintenance, and other required documentation.
- Stay current with all necessary training and certifications to maintain pilot qualifications.
- Represent NYPA in a professional manner and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor and assess weather and flight conditions to ensure the safety of all passengers and crew.
- Assist with ground support activities, such as loading and unloading of equipment and supplies.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of NYPA's flight operations procedures and policies.
- Remain flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and priorities, including the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Demonstrate a commitment to NYPA's mission and values and act as an ambassador for the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot or Flight Operations Manager.
Bachelor's Degree In Aviation, Aeronautical Science, Or Related Field
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience As A Pilot, Preferably In A Commercial Or Corporate Aviation Setting
Valid Airline Transport Pilot (Atp) License With Current First Class Medical Certificate
Experience With Advanced Aircraft Systems And Technology, Including Glass Cockpit And Flight Management Systems
Knowledge Of Federal Aviation Administration (Faa) Regulations And New York State Air Traffic Control Procedures
