  1. Draft and file patent applications: The primary responsibility of the Patent Filing & Prosecution Specialist will be to draft and file patent applications for Nokia's innovative solutions and technologies.
  2. Conduct patent searches: The specialist will be responsible for conducting thorough patent searches to ensure that our ideas and technologies are unique and can be protected through patents.
  3. Manage patent portfolios: The specialist will be responsible for managing Nokia's patent portfolios, including tracking patent filing deadlines, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with internal teams and external counsel.
  4. Monitor patent prosecution: The specialist will monitor the progress of patent applications, respond to office actions, and ensure that all necessary documents and deadlines are met during the prosecution process.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams: The specialist will work closely with engineers, inventors, and other teams within Nokia to understand the technical aspects of our inventions and translate them into patent applications.
  6. Stay updated on patent laws and regulations: The specialist will stay updated on changes in patent laws and regulations and ensure that all patent filings and prosecution processes are in compliance with these laws.
  7. Coordinate with external counsel: The specialist will work with external patent counsel to manage patent filing and prosecution activities and ensure that all legal requirements are met.
  8. Support patent litigation activities: The specialist may be required to support patent litigation activities by providing relevant patent documents and information.
  9. Conduct patent training: The specialist may be responsible for conducting patent training sessions for internal teams to increase awareness and understanding of patent laws and procedures.
  10. Assist in patent strategy development: The specialist will work closely with the patent team to assist in developing strategies for protecting Nokia's intellectual property and maximizing the value of our patents.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Patent Filing And Prosecution, Preferably In The Telecommunications Industry.

  • In-Depth Knowledge And Understanding Of Patent Laws, Regulations, And Procedures.

  • Strong Research And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Conduct Patent Searches And Analyze Technical Documents.

  • Excellent Communication And Writing Skills, With The Ability To Draft And File Patent Applications Accurately And Efficiently.
