- Respond promptly and effectively to any security incidents or emergencies.
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence to deter and resolve theft and fraud.
- Collaborate with store management and other team members to develop and implement security plans and protocols.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of company policies, procedures, and best practices related to asset protection.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with any security-related concerns or inquiries.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues within the store.
- Train and educate store employees on proper security procedures and awareness.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of security incidents and investigations.
- Proactively identify and report any potential security vulnerabilities within the store.
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in security technology to enhance the effectiveness of asset protection strategies.
- Act as a brand ambassador by upholding the Nordstrom values and promoting a safe and welcoming environment for all customers and employees.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards related to asset protection and confidentiality.
Previous Experience In Asset Protection Or Loss Prevention: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Background In Asset Protection Or Loss Prevention, Preferably In A Retail Environment. This Experience Will Demonstrate An Understanding Of How To Identify And Mitigate Potential Risks To The Company's Assets.
Knowledge Of Security Systems And Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Security Systems And Procedures, Such As Cctv Monitoring, Access Control, And Inventory Audits. This Knowledge Will Help Them Effectively Protect Nordstrom's Assets And Prevent Theft.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills: As An Asset Protection Agent, The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Think Critically Is Crucial. This Role Requires Individuals Who Can Confidently Handle Difficult Situations And Work Collaboratively With Store Management And Other Team Members To Resolve Issues.
Attention To Detail: Asset Protection Agents Must Pay Close Attention To Detail To Identify Potential Risks And Suspicious Behavior. They Should Also Be Able To Accurately Complete Documentation And Reports Related To Incidents, Investigations, And Audits.
Ability To Work Flexible Hours: This Role May Require Working Early Mornings, Evenings, And Weekends To Ensure The Store's Security And Protection. A Successful Candidate Should Be Able To Work A Flexible Schedule And Be Available For On-Call Shifts As Needed.
