- Monitor and patrol the store premises to ensure the safety and security of customers, employees, and merchandise.
- Identify and address any potential security risks or threats in a timely and efficient manner.
- Utilize surveillance systems to monitor and investigate any suspicious activity.
- Conduct thorough bag checks and inspections of merchandise upon exit to prevent theft.
- Collaborate with store management and other team members to implement and enforce security procedures and protocols.
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide exceptional service and address any security concerns.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all security incidents and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate parties.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential conflicts or disputes with customers in a professional and calm manner.
- Stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures related to asset protection, safety, and security.
- Assist with training and educating other team members on best practices for asset protection and safety.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other external partners as needed to address security threats or incidents.
- Continuously look for ways to improve and enhance the asset protection and safety measures within the store.
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times, serving as a brand ambassador for Nordstrom.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards related to asset protection and customer privacy.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, to ensure 24/7 coverage for the store.
Experience In Security Or Loss Prevention: A Successful Asset Protection - Agent At Nordstrom Should Have Prior Experience In Security Or Loss Prevention, Preferably In A Retail Setting. This Will Ensure They Have A Strong Understanding Of Potential Risks And How To Mitigate Them.
Strong Communication Skills: As An Asset Protection - Agent, It Is Crucial To Have Excellent Communication Skills In Order To Effectively Interact With Customers, Coworkers, And Law Enforcement. This Includes The Ability To De-Escalate Tense Situations And Communicate Clearly And Professionally.
Attention To Detail: The Role Of An Asset Protection - Agent Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail In Order To Identify Potential Security Risks And Accurately Report Incidents. This Includes Being Able To Accurately And Thoroughly Complete Incident Reports And Follow Up On Any Suspicious Behaviors.
Knowledge Of Security Equipment And Procedures: Nordstrom May Utilize Various Security Equipment And Procedures, Such As Cctv Cameras And Alarm Systems. A Qualified Asset Protection - Agent Should Have A Working Knowledge Of These Systems And Be Able To Operate Them Effectively.
