Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for protecting the company's assets, ensuring the safety of our employees and customers, and reducing losses due to theft and fraud. We are looking for someone with a strong background in asset protection, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating a safe and secure environment.   1. Develop and implement strategies to protect the company's assets, including merchandise, cash, and property.
  2. Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers by maintaining a strong presence and responding to any potential threats or incidents.
  3. Analyze and identify potential areas of risk and develop proactive measures to mitigate losses.
  4. Train and educate employees on proper security protocols and procedures.
  5. Conduct investigations into theft, fraud, and other security incidents, and work with law enforcement as needed.
  6. Monitor and maintain surveillance systems to prevent and deter criminal activity.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as store management and HR, to address security concerns and implement solutions.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in asset protection to continuously improve processes and procedures.
  9. Manage and develop a team of asset protection associates, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  10. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, to provide updates on security initiatives and incidents.
  11. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to asset protection.
  12. Maintain accurate records and reports related to security incidents, investigations, and training.
  13. Act as a liaison with external partners, such as law enforcement and security vendors.
  14. Identify and implement cost-saving measures in the asset protection department.
  15. Uphold the company's values and code of ethics in all interactions and decisions.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Manager-Asset Protection, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Security Personnel. They Should Have Exceptional Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage And Motivate Their Team To Achieve Desired Results.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: A Manager-Asset Protection Must Be Able To Identify And Analyze Potential Risks And Vulnerabilities To The Company's Assets. They Should Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Develop And Implement Effective Security Strategies.

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial For A Manager-Asset Protection To Effectively Work With Internal And External Stakeholders. They Should Have Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills To Convey Information And Instructions Clearly And Concisely.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Asset Protection: Nordstrom Seeks Candidates With A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Asset Protection, Preferably In A Leadership Role. This Experience Should Include Managing Security Teams, Conducting Investigations, And Implementing Loss Prevention Programs.
