In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our store by coordinating schedules for our team members.   1. Coordinate and maintain schedules for all team members, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and departments.
  2. Communicate regularly with team members to ensure their availability and accommodate any scheduling requests or changes.
  3. Manage and update the schedule software system to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  4. Collaborate with department managers to understand staffing needs and make adjustments to schedules as needed.
  5. Monitor and track employee attendance and punctuality to ensure compliance with company policies.
  6. Work closely with Human Resources to onboard new team members and schedule training sessions.
  7. Assist with creating and implementing a scheduling plan for peak shopping seasons and special events.
  8. Communicate any scheduling conflicts or issues to management in a timely manner and provide potential solutions.
  9. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with team members and customers.
  10. Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to the scheduling process to increase efficiency and productivity.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  12. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any scheduling concerns or inquiries from team members.
  13. Ensure compliance with all labor laws and company policies regarding scheduling and employee work hours.
  14. Assist in other administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the store.
  15. Act as a role model for team members, promoting a positive work culture and upholding the company's values.

  • Strong Organizational Skills: A Scheduling Coordinator At Nordstrom Must Have Exceptional Organizational Skills To Manage And Coordinate The Schedules Of Multiple Employees And Departments.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Clear And Effective Communication Is Crucial In This Role, As The Scheduling Coordinator Will Be In Constant Communication With Management, Employees, And Vendors.

  • Prior Experience In Scheduling: Previous Experience In Scheduling Or Administrative Roles Is Preferred, As It Demonstrates The Ability To Handle Complex Schedules And Coordinate With Multiple Parties.
