- Coordinate and maintain schedules for all team members, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and departments.
- Communicate regularly with team members to ensure their availability and accommodate any scheduling requests or changes.
- Manage and update the schedule software system to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with department managers to understand staffing needs and make adjustments to schedules as needed.
- Monitor and track employee attendance and punctuality to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Work closely with Human Resources to onboard new team members and schedule training sessions.
- Assist with creating and implementing a scheduling plan for peak shopping seasons and special events.
- Communicate any scheduling conflicts or issues to management in a timely manner and provide potential solutions.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with team members and customers.
- Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to the scheduling process to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any scheduling concerns or inquiries from team members.
- Ensure compliance with all labor laws and company policies regarding scheduling and employee work hours.
- Assist in other administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the store.
- Act as a role model for team members, promoting a positive work culture and upholding the company's values.
Strong Organizational Skills: A Scheduling Coordinator At Nordstrom Must Have Exceptional Organizational Skills To Manage And Coordinate The Schedules Of Multiple Employees And Departments.
Excellent Communication Skills: Clear And Effective Communication Is Crucial In This Role, As The Scheduling Coordinator Will Be In Constant Communication With Management, Employees, And Vendors.
Prior Experience In Scheduling: Previous Experience In Scheduling Or Administrative Roles Is Preferred, As It Demonstrates The Ability To Handle Complex Schedules And Coordinate With Multiple Parties.
Familiarity With Scheduling Software: Nordstrom May Use Scheduling Software To Manage Employee Schedules, So Proficiency In Using Such Tools Is A Valuable Qualification For This Role.
