  1. Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives for the Merchandising team to drive business growth and enhance the customer experience.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including buying, planning, marketing, and finance, to align on business objectives and develop cohesive strategies.
  3. Conduct thorough market analysis and research to identify trends and opportunities in the retail industry, and use this information to inform strategic decisions.
  4. Lead and mentor a team of merchandising professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution of strategies.
  5. Monitor and track the performance of merchandising strategies, making adjustments as needed to optimize results.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry and competitive trends, and use this knowledge to continuously improve and innovate merchandising strategies.
  7. Communicate regularly with senior leadership and stakeholders to provide updates, insights, and recommendations on merchandising strategies and initiatives.
  8. Develop and manage the merchandising budget, ensuring efficient and effective allocation of resources.
  9. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork, creativity, and accountability among team members.
  10. Act as a brand ambassador for Nordstrom, embodying the company's values and promoting a positive image both internally and externally.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Merchandising: The Strategy Senior Manager Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Retail Industry, With A Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience In Merchandising, Ideally In A Leadership Role.

  • Strategic Thinking And Planning Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Develop And Implement Long-Term Merchandising Strategies That Align With The Company's Overall Business Goals And Objectives.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: A Successful Strategy Senior Manager Must Be Able To Analyze Data And Market Trends To Make Informed Decisions And Recommendations For Merchandising Strategies.

  • Leadership And Team Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Leading And Developing A Team Of Merchandising Professionals, As Well As The Ability To Collaborate And Communicate Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams.

  • Business Acumen And Financial Management Skills: The Strategy Senior Manager Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Financial Metrics And Be Able To Make Data-Driven Decisions To Drive Sales And Profitability For The Company. Experience In Budgeting And Forecasting Is Also Preferred.
