- Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess data governance risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and audit data processes to ensure compliance with data governance policies and procedures.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues and work with data owners to establish data quality standards.
- Conduct regular data governance training and provide guidance to employees on data handling best practices.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on data governance principles and keep abreast of industry trends and developments.
- Develop and maintain data governance documentation, including data dictionaries, data maps, and data lineage.
- Work with IT teams to implement data governance tools and technologies.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure data governance compliance.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and policies related to data governance and make necessary updates to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to identify data governance needs and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Support data governance initiatives and projects, including data classification, data retention, and data access controls.
- Conduct periodic data governance assessments and report findings to management.
- Participate in data governance forums and represent the company's data governance efforts to internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance data governance processes to optimize data quality, security, and integrity.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Stakeholders At All Levels Of The Organization.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Data Management, Information Technology, Or Business Analytics.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Data Governance Or Related Roles, Preferably In The Financial Services Industry.
Strong Understanding Of Data Governance Principles, Regulations, And Best Practices, Including Knowledge Of Data Privacy And Security Laws.
Experience With Data Quality And Metadata Management Tools And Processes.
