- Develop and implement operational risk management strategies and procedures for our operations in Pune.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to operational risk management.
- Identify and assess potential operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Oversee the implementation and effectiveness of controls to mitigate operational risks.
- Lead and manage a team of risk professionals to ensure the successful execution of risk management initiatives.
- Monitor and report on key risk indicators to senior management and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential operational risks.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and recommend enhancements to our risk management processes.
- Communicate risk management policies and procedures to all employees and provide training as needed.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies to provide necessary information and reports on operational risk management.
- Drive a culture of risk awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
- Prepare and present reports on operational risk management to senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of operational risk management processes and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with other risk management teams globally to share best practices and ensure consistency in risk management practices.
Strong Understanding Of Operational Risk Management: The Director Of Operational Risk Oversight At Northern Trust Must Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of Operational Risk Management Principles, Tools, And Techniques. This Includes Identifying, Assessing, And Monitoring Risks, As Well As Implementing Effective Controls And Mitigation Strategies.
Experience In Financial Services Industry: A Successful Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In The Financial Services Industry, Preferably In A Risk Management Role. This Will Ensure They Have A Deep Understanding Of The Unique Risks And Regulatory Requirements In This Sector.
Leadership And Strategic Thinking Skills: As A Senior Leader, The Director Of Operational Risk Oversight Must Have Excellent Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Other Senior Leaders. They Should Also Possess Strong Strategic Thinking Abilities To Develop And Implement Risk Management Strategies That Align With The Organization's Overall Objectives.
