
HR Compliance Consultant
Northern Trust is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented HR Compliance Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our human resource practices and procedures comply with applicable employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the laws and regulations governing HR practices, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. If you are passionate about HR compliance and eager to contribute to our dynamic team, we'd love to hear from you.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field• 5+ years of professional experience in HR compliance• Demonstrated knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations• Excellent communication and organizational skills• Ability to analyze complex information and develop effective solutions• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement HR compliance policies that adhere to applicable employment laws and regulations • Monitor and analyze changes in applicable laws and regulations and take necessary measures to ensure compliance • Advise and educate HR personnel on HR compliance standards and procedures • Review HR practices and procedures to identify potential areas of non-compliance • Develop training programs to ensure HR personnel are knowledgeable of HR compliance requirements • Monitor compliance through regular audits and risk assessments • Develop reports and other documents related to HR compliance • Develop and maintain relationships with external regulatory bodies • Respond to inquiries and complaints from employees regarding HR compliance issues • Develop and maintain an HR compliance database to track and document compliance efforts
