Monitor and maintain the security and integrity of the company's Linux-based infrastructure
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise with the Linux systems
Work closely with other team members to ensure the reliability and performance of the systems
Implement and maintain best practices for managing and optimizing Linux systems
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Linux technology to continuously improve the company's systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain new systems and upgrades
Utilize strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify and address any issues that may impact system performance
Create and maintain documentation for all Linux systems and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency
Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members in Linux system administration best practices
Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience With Linux Operating Systems: A Senior Linux Systems Administrator At Northrop Grumman Should Have A Deep Understanding And Hands-On Experience With Various Linux Distributions Such As Red Hat, Centos, And Ubuntu. They Should Be Able To Troubleshoot And Resolve Complex Issues Related To Linux Systems.
Strong Knowledge Of Networking And Security: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Networking Protocols And Concepts Such As Tcp/Ip, Dns, Dhcp, And Vpn. They Should Also Have Experience With Implementing And Maintaining Security Measures To Protect The Linux Systems From Potential Threats.
Proficiency In Scripting And Automation: The Role Of A Senior Linux Systems Administrator At Northrop Grumman Requires The Ability To Write Scripts And Automate Tasks Using Tools Such As Bash, Python, And Puppet. This Skill Is Crucial In Managing Large-Scale Linux Environments Efficiently.
Experience With Virtualization And Cloud Technologies: The Candidate Should Have Experience With Virtualization Technologies Such As Vmware, Kvm, And Docker. They Should Also Have A Good Understanding Of Cloud Computing Concepts And Experience With Cloud Platforms Like Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud.
Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills: A Senior Linux Systems Administrator Should Have Excellent Troubleshooting Skills To Identify And Resolve Complex System Issues Quickly.
