Job Description

As a Lab Technician at Northwestern Medicine, you will join a world-class team of medical professionals in a facility that is focused on delivering the highest quality of care to our patients. With your technical and medical knowledge, you will assist in the collection and analysis of laboratory data. Responsibilities:

  1. Collect and analyze laboratory data in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Assist physicians and other medical professionals in the collection and analysis of laboratory data.
  3. Utilize computers and other technologies to help analyze data and make recommendations for patient care.
  4. Maintain accurate records of laboratory tests and results.
  5. Monitor laboratory equipment to ensure it is in proper working order and make necessary repairs when needed.
  6. Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with hospital and laboratory regulations.
  7. Stay current with the latest technologies and medical advances to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
  8. Provide timely and accurate reports to physicians and other medical professionals.
  9. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  10. Assist in the training and development of new laboratory technicians.
