At Northwestern Medicine, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Supply Chain Specialist - Logistics to join our team. They should be able to work independently, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. They should be able to communicate effectively to a variety of stakeholders and possess the ability to think strategically and analyze data.The Supply Chain Specialist - Logistics will be responsible for identifying and implementing solutions to optimize inventory, process, and distribution systems. They must be detail-oriented, have a good understanding of medical supply chain operations, and be able to work within a team environment. This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a passion for delivering excellence in healthcare.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field• 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, and inventory control• Proven track record of successful supply chain optimization initiatives• Knowledge of medical supply chain operations• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills• Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically• Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of stakeholders• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyzing data and developing strategies to optimize supply chain, logistics, and inventory control processes.
  2. Identifying and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  3. Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
  4. Managing multiple projects and ensuring timely completion.
  5. Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring availability of medical supplies.
  6. Developing and enforcing policies and procedures related to supply chain management.
  7. Troubleshooting supply chain problems and providing solutions.
  8. Working with other departments to coordinate supply chain activities.
  9. Ensuring compliance with industry and organizational regulations and standards.
  10. Staying up-to-date with industry developments and trends.
