
Program Assistant

- Greet and welcome visitors and students to Northwestern University with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Provide administrative support to the academic programs and initiatives of the university.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records and files related to program activities.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, events, and appointments for program staff and faculty.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of program materials, such as syllabi, handouts, and presentations.
- Serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and staff, answering inquiries and providing information about programs and resources.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders through various channels, including email, phone, and in-person interactions.
- Collaborate with other university departments to ensure smooth operation and coordination of program activities.
- Manage program budgets and expenses, including processing reimbursements and tracking expenditures.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot potential issues and provide solutions to ensure program success.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and optimize program processes and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Act as a positive representative of the university, promoting its values and mission.
- Support and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Other duties as assigned by program directors or supervisors.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Business Administration, Education, Or Communications.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize Tasks And Meet Deadlines.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Groups.
Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Other Relevant Software Programs, With The Ability To Learn New Systems Quickly.
