
Affirmative Action/EEO Specialist
Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Affirmative Action/EEO Specialist is responsible for administering Norwalk Community College’s affirmative action program to ensure compliance with federal and state equal employment opportunity laws, regulations and guidelines.
- Compiling and analyzing statistical data as related to affirmative action;
- Preparation and submission of the College’s affirmative action report to CHRO;
- Assisting with the development of procedures and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce;
- Assist with internal recruitment efforts at the College;
- Training or arranging for training on mandated programs;
- Assisting with discrimination complaint investigations.
5 years experience in the development and administration of affirmative action plan
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant State and Federal laws, statutes and regulations of affirmative action programs essential
The ability to develop and implement affirmative action plans.
