  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive ethics, risk, and compliance program for Novartis, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  2. Lead and manage a team of ethics, risk, and compliance professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  3. Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to promote a culture of integrity and ethical behavior.
  4. Conduct regular risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the ethics, risk, and compliance program and make necessary improvements.
  6. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards and ensure that the company is in compliance.
  7. Investigate any reported violations of company policies or potential ethical breaches and take appropriate action.
  8. Develop and deliver training programs on ethics, risk management, and compliance for employees at all levels.
  9. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the ethics, risk, and compliance program.
  10. Serve as a point of contact for external regulators and auditors and ensure timely and accurate responses to inquiries and requests.
  11. Collaborate with other departments, such as legal and human resources, to address any compliance issues or concerns.
  12. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and the Board of Directors on the company's ethics, risk, and compliance efforts.
  13. Act as a role model for ethical behavior and promote a strong ethical culture throughout the organization.
  14. Continuously assess and improve the company's risk management and compliance processes and procedures.
  15. Represent the company at industry conferences and events to stay informed on trends and best practices in ethics, risk, and compliance.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of Ethical Principles And Compliance Regulations: The Director Of Ethics, Risk & Compliance At Novartis Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Ethical Principles And Compliance Regulations In The Pharmaceutical Industry. This Includes Knowledge Of Global Laws And Regulations, Such As The Us Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (Fcpa) And The Uk Bribery Act.

  • Experience In Developing And Implementing Compliance Programs: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Developing And Implementing Compliance Programs, Policies, And Procedures. This Includes Conducting Risk Assessments, Creating Training Programs, And Monitoring Compliance With Laws And Regulations.

  • Leadership And Communication Skills: The Director Of Ethics, Risk & Compliance Should Possess Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills To Effectively Manage A Team And Communicate With Stakeholders At All Levels Of The Organization. This Includes The Ability To Influence And Persuade Others To Follow Ethical And Compliant Practices.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Role Requires Strong Analytical Skills To Identify Potential Compliance Risks And Develop Effective Solutions. The Candidate Should Be Able To Analyze Complex Data, Identify Patterns, And Make Recommendations To Mitigate Risks.

  • Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry, Preferably In A Similar Compliance Role. This Will Ensure A Thorough Understanding Of The Unique Compliance Challenges And Regulations In The Industry, As Well As The Ability To Adapt To Novartis' Specific Compliance Program.
