- Conduct scientific and medical research to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in solid tumor oncology.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in the field of solid tumor oncology.
- Provide accurate and timely medical insights to internal teams, including marketing, sales, and clinical development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic plans to support product launches and ongoing medical education.
- Attend and present at medical conferences and meetings to share scientific data and promote awareness of Novartis products.
- Develop and deliver medical education programs for healthcare professionals.
- Respond to medical inquiries from healthcare professionals and provide accurate and appropriate medical information.
- Identify and communicate potential opportunities for collaboration and research projects with key opinion leaders.
- Act as a liaison between Novartis and healthcare professionals, fostering positive relationships and promoting trust and credibility.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss medical and scientific strategies and provide input and recommendations.
- Comply with all regulatory and compliance guidelines while performing job duties.
- Continuously develop and maintain expertise in solid tumor oncology and relevant disease areas.
- Stay informed about competitors' products and medical advancements in the field.
- Represent Novartis at medical and scientific events and serve as a scientific resource for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the development and execution of medical affairs plans and projects.
- Act as a mentor and resource for new MSLs and assist in their training and development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and communicate potential issues or risks related to product or disease area knowledge.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of medical strategies with business objectives.
- Embody the Novartis values of integrity, innovation, quality, and collaboration in all interactions and activities.
Advanced Degree In Medical Or Life Sciences: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Pharmacy, Medicine, Or Biology Is Required For This Position. A Phd Or Md Is Preferred.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Solid Tumor Oncology: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Current Landscape And Emerging Trends In The Field Of Solid Tumor Oncology, Including Disease Biology, Treatment Options, And Clinical Trials.
Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills: Msls Are Expected To Effectively Communicate Complex Scientific Information To Healthcare Professionals, As Well As Key Opinion Leaders And Internal Stakeholders. Strong Presentation Skills And The Ability To Tailor The Message To Different Audiences Are Essential.
Demonstrated Experience In Medical Affairs: Previous Experience As An Msl Or In A Related Medical Affairs Role Is Highly Desired. This Includes A Proven Track Record Of Developing And Maintaining Relationships With Key Opinion Leaders, As Well As Organizing And Executing Medical Education Programs.
Strong Teamwork And Collaboration Skills: Msls Work Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Marketing, Sales, And Clinical Development. The Ability To Collaborate And Work Effectively With Others Is Crucial For Success In This Role.
