
Reliability and Risk Analyst
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission seeks an experienced and highly motivated Reliability and Risk Analyst to join our team of experts in providing public health and safety oversight of the nuclear industry. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence, a passion for problem-solving, and a desire to positively impact the world.The Reliability and Risk Analyst will be responsible for using advanced methods to assess the safety and reliability of nuclear power plants, identifying potential risks, and recommending solutions to eliminate or mitigate those risks. This position requires a thorough knowledge of NRC and industry regulations, an understanding of nuclear power plant operations, and the ability to develop and implement safety and risk management plans. The Reliability and Risk Analyst will be expected to work closely with other departments in the NRC to ensure proper oversight of the nuclear industry.Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as engineering, physics, or mathematics, and at least three years of experience in risk assessment and reliability engineering. A Master’s degree or higher in a related field is preferred. Candidates must possess a strong analytical and critical thinking skills, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be comfortable working with advanced computer software programs. Responsibilities of a Reliability and Risk Analyst:
