1. Maintain and organize inventory of medical supplies, equipment, and instruments in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
2. Monitor and track supply levels, anticipate needs, and place orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
3. Inspect and restock medical supplies in various locations throughout the facility, including patient care areas, operating rooms, and emergency rooms.
4. Receive and verify incoming supply shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper storage.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare staff to identify supply needs and potential shortages, and provide support in sourcing and procuring necessary items.
6. Ensure all supplies are properly labeled, stored, and rotated to maintain quality and safety standards.
7. Maintain accurate records of inventory, including tracking usage and expiration dates, and report any discrepancies or issues to management promptly.
8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols when handling and storing supplies.
9. Maintain a clean and organized supply room, disposing of expired or damaged supplies and keeping shelves well-stocked and easily accessible.
10. Participate in regular inventory audits and assist in the implementation of new inventory management systems as needed.
11. Follow all established policies and procedures, and comply with all regulatory requirements and standards.
12. Provide excellent customer service to healthcare staff and patients, responding promptly to any supply requests or inquiries.
13. Attend training sessions and stay updated on industry developments and best practices to continuously improve supply management processes.
14. Act as a team player, supporting and collaborating with other members of the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and abide by all ethical and legal standards.
