  1. Greet and welcome patients to the clinic with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  2. Assist patients with check-in procedures, including verifying personal and insurance information.
  3. Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for their appointments.
  4. Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  5. Update electronic medical records with accurate and timely patient information.
  6. Assist physicians with patient exams and procedures as needed.
  7. Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
  8. Perform basic lab tests and collect specimens for testing.
  9. Educate patients on treatment plans and provide follow-up instructions.
  10. Ensure all medical equipment is properly sanitized and stocked for patient use.
  11. Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  13. Uphold patient confidentiality and follow all HIPAA guidelines.
  14. Continuously learn and stay updated on medical procedures and protocols.
  15. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  16. Provide excellent customer service and address any patient concerns or complaints.
  17. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  18. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  19. Collaborate with colleagues to improve processes and enhance patient experience.
  20. Represent Orlando Health and Florida Heart & Vascular in a professional and positive manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Certified Medical Assistant Program: The Candidate Must Have Completed A Certified Medical Assistant Program From An Accredited Institution. This Program Includes Coursework In Medical Terminology, Clinical Procedures, And Medical Office Management.

  • Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Current Certification As A Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) From The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama), The American Medical Technologists (Amt), Or The National Center For Competency Testing (Ncct).

  • Knowledge Of Medical Procedures And Terminology: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Procedures And Terminology, Including Taking Vital Signs, Administering Injections, And Performing Basic Laboratory Tests.

  • Experience In A Clinical Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Cardiology Or Cardiovascular Practice, Is Preferred. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Specific Needs And Procedures Of A Heart And Vascular Practice.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. This Includes The Ability To Maintain Patient Confidentiality, Handle Sensitive Information, And Provide Compassionate Care To Patients.
