- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of medical equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety for patient use.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with medical equipment, utilizing technical knowledge and problem solving skills.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on medical equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on medical equipment.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, including storage of tools and equipment.
- Stay up-to-date on new medical equipment and technologies, and provide recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements.
- Train and educate staff on the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers for ordering parts and supplies.
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency repairs and maintenance.
- Prioritize and manage work orders to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow company policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve maintenance processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Represent Orlando Health with integrity and professionalism at all times.
Associate's Degree In Biomedical Engineering Technology Or Related Field.
Certification As A Clinical Engineering Technician (Cet) Or Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (Cbet).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Clinical Engineer Or Biomedical Equipment Technician In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Equipment And Technology, Including Troubleshooting And Repair.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
