- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of patients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on assessment results and evidence-based practices.
- Provide individual and group therapy to patients with a variety of mental health concerns.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and develop holistic treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Stay current with advancements and developments in the field of clinical psychology.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress.
- Conduct research and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of clinical psychology.
- Serve as a resource and consultant for other healthcare professionals regarding mental health concerns and treatment strategies.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient treatment planning.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of job performance.
- Continuously evaluate and monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health topics and strategies for managing symptoms.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a high standard of patient care.
- Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and compassion towards patients and their families.
Doctorate In Clinical Psychology: A Clinical Psychologist At Orlando Health Must Hold A Doctorate Degree In Clinical Psychology From An Accredited University.
State Licensure: Candidates Must Be Licensed To Practice Psychology In The State Of Florida And Maintain An Active License In Good Standing.
Clinical Experience: The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Medical Center.
Specialized Training: Orlando Health Prefers Candidates With Specialized Training In Areas Such As Trauma, Addiction, Or Neuropsychology. This Could Include A Post-Doctoral Fellowship Or Additional Certifications.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Clinical Psychologists Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals And Provide Quality Care To Patients And Their Families. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Psychological Concepts And Treatment Plans To Patients And Their Families.
