In this role, you will play a key role in developing and implementing communication strategies that promote our brand and engage our stakeholders.   1. Develop and implement strategic communication plans to promote the Orlando Health brand and engage stakeholders.
  2. Create compelling and impactful messaging that effectively communicates the organization's mission, values, and services to various audiences.
  3. Serve as a liaison between Orlando Health and the media, proactively identifying and pitching newsworthy stories and responding to media inquiries.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to identify and create key messaging for various initiatives, including new services, events, and community partnerships.
  5. Monitor and track media coverage and social media activity related to Orlando Health, providing regular reports and analysis to leadership.
  6. Plan and execute media events and press conferences to promote the organization and its services.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts and influencers in the healthcare industry.
  8. Write and edit press releases, articles, speeches, and other communication materials to ensure consistent messaging and tone.
  9. Manage crisis communication and serve as a spokesperson for the organization during times of crisis.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in communication and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Work closely with the marketing team to ensure messaging is aligned with overall marketing strategy and brand guidelines.
  12. Provide guidance and support to leadership and staff on effective communication strategies.
  13. Collaborate with community partners and organizations to develop joint communication efforts that promote the organization's mission and services.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional image of Orlando Health in all communications and interactions.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Communications, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Hospital Setting.

  • Strong Writing And Editing Skills, With The Ability To Create Compelling And Accurate Content For Various Channels (Print, Digital, Social Media).

  • Experience With Crisis Communication And Media Relations.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Healthcare Industry, Including Regulations And Terminology.
