If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Credentialing Specialist at Orlando Health!As a Credentialing Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our healthcare providers' credentials. Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks will be critical in maintaining our high standards of quality and patient safety.To excel in this role, you must have a strong understanding of credentialing processes and regulations, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare credentialing is required, along with a Bachelor's degree in a related field.Join our team at Orlando Health and make a difference in the lives of our patients and providers!

  1. Conduct thorough and accurate verification of healthcare providers' credentials and licenses.
  2. Maintain a detailed and organized system for tracking and updating provider credentials.
  3. Communicate with various departments and external agencies to obtain necessary documents and information for credentialing.
  4. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to credentialing.
  5. Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in provider credentials.
  6. Monitor and update provider data in credentialing software systems.
  7. Review and analyze credentialing applications, including education, experience, and references.
  8. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of credentialing processes.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in credentialing regulations.
  10. Assist with the development and implementation of credentialing policies and procedures.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.
  13. Participate in audits and quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  14. Train and mentor new credentialing team members.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve credentialing processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Credentialing, Preferably In A Hospital Or Large Healthcare Organization.

  • Knowledge Of Credentialing Requirements And Regulations Set By Accrediting Bodies Such As The Joint Commission And Ncqa.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks And Deadlines Efficiently.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Healthcare Professionals And External Agencies.
