We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as Director of Sterile Processing Services. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our sterile processing department, ensuring that all instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained for the safety of our patients and staff.   1. Oversee the daily operations of the sterile processing department to ensure efficient and effective functioning.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, and maintenance of instruments and equipment.
  3. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterile supplies and equipment, ensuring that they are always readily available for use.
  4. Train and supervise sterile processing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate instrument processing and availability.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and technology in the field of sterile processing, and make recommendations for improvements and upgrades.
  7. Conduct regular audits and inspections of the sterile processing department to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
  8. Manage the budget for the sterile processing department, including purchasing equipment and supplies and managing expenses.
  9. Communicate with patients, staff, and healthcare providers to address any concerns or issues related to sterile processing services.
  10. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development among sterile processing staff.
  11. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all sterile processing procedures and activities.
  12. Respond to emergencies and unexpected situations in a prompt and effective manner.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information at all times.
  14. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Orlando Health in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication, Organizational, And Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role In Sterile Processing Or A Similar Department.

  • Certification In Sterile Processing (Cbspd Or Iahcsmm).

  • Thorough Understanding Of Sterile Processing Regulations And Standards, Including Aami, Fda, And Joint Commission.
