- Provide emergency medical care to patients in a timely and efficient manner.
- Respond to emergency calls and assess patient condition to determine appropriate treatment.
- Administer basic life support techniques, such as CPR and bandaging.
- Transport patients to medical facilities while maintaining their stability and monitoring vital signs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other medical personnel.

- Participate in debriefings after critical incidents to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
Valid Emt Certification: Candidates Must Possess A Valid Emt Certification From An Accredited Institution In Order To Be Considered For The Position At Orlando Health.
Experience In Emergency Care: Previous Experience In Emergency Care, Whether In A Hospital Or Pre-Hospital Setting, Is Highly Preferred For Emt Positions At Orlando Health.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As Emergency Medical Situations Often Require Rapid And Critical Interventions, Candidates Must Have A Current Bls Certification To Demonstrate Their Ability To Perform Basic Life Support Techniques.
Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In Emergency Situations, And Emts At Orlando Health Must Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Effectively With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Physical Fitness And Stamina: The Job Of An Emt Is Physically Demanding, Requiring The Ability To Lift And Maneuver Patients, As Well As Stand And Walk For Extended Periods Of Time. Candidates Must Be In Good Physical Condition And Possess The Stamina To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.
