In this role, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, administering necessary medical treatment, and safely transporting patients to medical facilities.   1. Respond to emergency calls in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Administer necessary medical treatment to patients at the scene of an emergency.
  3. Safely transport patients to medical facilities while providing continuous medical care.
  4. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions and treatments.
  5. Adhere to all medical protocols and procedures as established by Orlando Health.
  6. Monitor and maintain the proper functioning of emergency medical equipment.
  7. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  8. Display empathy, compassion, and respect towards patients and their loved ones during stressful situations.
  9. Continuously assess and reassess patient conditions and make appropriate medical decisions.
  10. Collaborate with other emergency medical personnel and healthcare providers to ensure the best possible patient care.
  11. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all local, state, and federal regulations related to emergency medical services.
  12. Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and stay updated on industry advancements.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of patients and team members.
  14. Represent Orlando Health and the emergency medical services department in a professional and positive manner.
  15. Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and upholding the values of Orlando Health.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Certification As An Emergency Medical Technician (Emt) In The State Of Florida.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As An Emt, Preferably In A Mobile Transport Setting.

  • Knowledge And Proficiency In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Life Support (Als) Techniques And Protocols.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In High-Stress Situations.

  • Valid Driver's License And Clean Driving Record, With The Ability To Operate An Ambulance Or Other Emergency Response Vehicle Safely And Efficiently.
