- Develop and implement healing arts programs and initiatives that align with the organization's mission and values.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to integrate healing arts into patient care plans.
- Conduct assessments to determine the needs and interests of patients and their families, and tailor healing arts activities accordingly.
- Provide individual and group sessions to patients using a variety of healing arts techniques, such as visual arts, music, dance, and writing.
- Create a safe and supportive environment for patients to express themselves and explore their emotions through art.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient participation and progress in healing arts programs.
- Educate and train staff on the benefits and methods of incorporating healing arts into patient care.
- Keep up-to-date with current research, trends, and developments in the field of healing arts and apply them to enhance patient care.
- Collaborate with community organizations and artists to bring in new perspectives and resources to enhance healing arts programs.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and respect towards patients and their families, promoting a holistic approach to healing.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Psychology, Social Work, Or Alternative Medicine.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably Working With Patients Who Have Chronic Illnesses Or Disabilities.
Certification In A Specific Healing Art Modality Such As Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Music Therapy, Or Art Therapy.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Trust And Rapport With Patients.
Understanding Of Holistic Health Practices And The Ability To Incorporate Them Into Patient Care Plans.
