  1. Perform intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring during surgical procedures to ensure the safety and integrity of the nervous system.
  2. Maintain accurate and detailed records of the monitoring process.
  3. Communicate effectively with the surgical team to provide real-time updates and alerts regarding any changes in neurological function.
  4. Troubleshoot and respond to any technical issues with monitoring equipment.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement appropriate interventions to maintain neurological function.
  6. Educate patients and their families on the purpose and process of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring.
  7. Stay up-to-date with current research and advancements in intraoperative neurophysiology.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
  9. Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills to identify and respond to any changes in neurological function.
  10. Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the surgical process.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring.
  12. Maintain a professional demeanor and display empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
  13. Uphold the values and mission of Orlando Health in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.
  14. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  15. Attend trainings and conferences to continuously enhance knowledge and skills in intraoperative neurophysiology.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Clinical Or Research Setting Working With Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (Ionm) Equipment.

  • Certification As A Certified Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring Technologist (Cnim) Or Equivalent Credential.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Neuroanatomy, Electrophysiology, And Neuromonitoring Techniques.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced, High-Stress Environment.
