1. Provide safe and personalized care to expectant mothers and their newborns in the Labor and Delivery unit.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
3. Monitor and document patient vital signs and progress, and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
4. Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals in various procedures, such as labor inductions and cesarean sections.
5. Educate patients and their families on prenatal and postnatal care, including breastfeeding techniques and newborn care.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
7. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
8. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and communicate updates to the healthcare team.
9. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during labor and delivery.
10. Continuously update and improve knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training opportunities.
