  1. Provide compassionate and professional care to patients and families during the labor and delivery process.
  2. Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  3. Utilize strong knowledge and experience in labor and delivery to provide high-quality care to patients.
  4. Uphold the values of Orlando Health, including a commitment to compassionate care and professional excellence.
  5. Demonstrate a strong understanding of patient-centered care, actively listening to and addressing the needs and concerns of patients and their families.
  6. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and protocols related to labor and delivery, as well as the regulations and standards set by the state and federal healthcare agencies.
  7. Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers.
  8. Administer medications and treatments as directed by the physician and ensure accurate documentation of all care provided.
  9. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff, following infection control and safety protocols.
  10. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on advancements and best practices in labor and delivery care.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Lpn License From The State Of Florida: This Is The Most Important Qualification For An Lpn Position At Orlando Health, As It Ensures That The Candidate Has Met All The Necessary Education And Training Requirements To Practice As An Lpn In The State.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In Labor & Delivery: Orlando Health Prefers Candidates Who Have Prior Experience Working In A Labor & Delivery Setting, As This Demonstrates Their Familiarity With The Specific Challenges And Responsibilities Of This Role.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As A Healthcare Provider, An Lpn At Orlando Health Must Have Current Bls Certification To Provide Essential Life-Saving Interventions In Emergency Situations.

  • Knowledge Of Labor And Delivery Procedures And Protocols: The Ideal Candidate For An Lpn Position In Labor & Delivery At Orlando Health Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Various Stages Of Labor, Delivery Methods, And Postpartum Care Protocols.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: Lpns At Orlando Health Work Closely With Other Healthcare Professionals, Including Nurses, Physicians, And Other Members Of The Healthcare Team.
