
Medical Assistant, Certified - Pulmonology

- Greet and welcome patients to the clinic in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist physicians with patient care, including taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records and ensure confidentiality of all information.
- Coordinate patient appointments and follow-up care, including scheduling and confirming appointments, and arranging for necessary tests and procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians.
- Educate patients on procedures, medications, and other healthcare related information.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide high-quality and efficient care to patients.

Certified Medical Assistant: A Minimum Of A Medical Assistant Certification Is Required For This Position. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Completed A Formal Training Program And Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Duties Of A Medical Assistant In A Pulmonology Setting.
Experience In Pulmonology: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As A Certified Medical Assistant In A Pulmonology Setting. This Experience Will Demonstrate Their Familiarity With Pulmonology Procedures And Terminology, As Well As Their Ability To Assist With Specialized Treatments And Procedures.
Knowledge Of Electronic Health Records (Ehr): Orlando Health Uses Electronic Health Records To Maintain Patient Information, So Candidates Should Have Experience Working With Ehr Systems. This Includes The Ability To Accurately Input And Retrieve Patient Data, As Well As The Ability To Navigate And Use Various Ehr Functions.
Excellent Communication Skills: As A Medical Assistant In Pulmonology, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For This Role To Ensure Clear And Effective Communication With All Parties Involved.
Attention To Detail: Working In The Field Of Pulmonology Requires A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail. Candidates Should Be Detail-Oriented And Have The Ability To Follow Precise Instructions And Protocols In Order To Ensure Accurate Patient Care And Record-Keeping. This Includes The Ability To Accurately Measure Vital Signs, Administer Medications, And Perform Other Tasks With Precision.
