  1. Conducting quality assurance checks on all radiation therapy equipment to ensure accuracy and safety for patient treatments.
  2. Collaborating with radiation oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for patients.
  3. Utilizing advanced knowledge of medical physics and radiation therapy to optimize treatment delivery and minimize potential side effects.
  4. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of all radiation therapy procedures and treatments.
  5. Participating in research and development projects to advance the field of medical physics.
  6. Providing training and mentorship to junior medical physicists and other staff members.
  7. Staying current on industry developments and advancements in technology to continuously improve patient care.
  8. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards related to radiation therapy.
  9. Troubleshooting equipment and technical issues to ensure uninterrupted treatment for patients.
  10. Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to review patient cases and make treatment recommendations.
  11. Maintaining a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all job duties.
  12. Contributing to the overall success and growth of the medical physics department at Orlando Health.
  13. Demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of medical physics.

Job Qualifications
  • Phd In Medical Physics Or Related Field

  • Board Certification By The American Board Of Radiology Or The American Board Of Medical Physics

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Clinical Medical Physics

  • Proficient In Advanced Treatment Planning And Quality Assurance Techniques

  • Strong Knowledge Of Radiation Safety And Regulatory Compliance In A Healthcare Setting
