- Perform neurophysiological tests: The Neurodiagnostics Technician will be responsible for conducting a variety of neurophysiological tests, such as electroencephalograms (EEGs), nerve conduction studies (NCS), and evoked potentials (EPs).
- Assist in diagnosis and treatment: The Technician will play a crucial role in aiding physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders by accurately performing and interpreting test results.
- Provide high-quality patient care: The Technician will ensure that patients receive compassionate and professional care during their diagnostic testing, creating a positive experience for patients and their families.
- Maintain equipment and supplies: The Technician will be responsible for maintaining and calibrating all equipment used in neurodiagnostic testing and ensuring that supplies are well-stocked and organized.
- Document and report test results: The Technician will accurately document and report all test results to the physician in a timely manner, ensuring that patient records are complete and accurate.
- Adhere to safety protocols: The Technician will follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of both patients and staff during testing procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team: The Technician will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients and contribute to treatment plans.
- Stay updated on industry developments: The Technician will stay informed about new developments and advancements in the field of neurodiagnostics to continually improve their skills and knowledge.
- Maintain confidentiality: The Technician will handle all patient information with the utmost confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Uphold professional standards: The Technician will maintain a professional demeanor and uphold the values and standards of Orlando Health's Neurodiagnostics team at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Neurodiagnostics Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Neuroscience And Diagnostic Techniques Is Essential For This Role.
Certification In Neurodiagnostics: Candidates Should Have A Valid Certification From The American Board Of Registration Of Electroencephalographic And Evoked Potential Technologists (Abret) Or Equivalent Organization.
Previous Experience In A Clinical Setting: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Neurodiagnostics Department.
Knowledge Of Neuroimaging Techniques And Equipment: Candidates Should Be Familiar With Various Neuroimaging Techniques Such As Eeg, Emg, And Ncv, And Have Experience Operating And Maintaining Neurodiagnostic Equipment.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Involves Working Closely With Patients And Healthcare Professionals, So Candidates Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment.
