Job Description

Welcome to Orlando Health, where we are dedicated to providing high-quality care to our patients. We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Neurotechnologist to join our team. As a Neurotechnologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with neurological disorders.   1. Conduct diagnostic tests: Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, such as EEGs, EMGs, and nerve conduction studies, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
  2. Record and interpret data: Accurately record and interpret data from diagnostic tests, including EEG wave patterns, muscle and nerve activity, and other neurological signals.
  3. Collaborate with physicians: Work closely with neurologists and other healthcare professionals to analyze test results and develop treatment plans for patients.
  4. Educate patients: Explain diagnostic procedures to patients and their families, and answer any questions they may have about their condition or treatment.
  5. Maintain equipment: Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated, and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
  6. Ensure patient safety: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of patients during diagnostic tests.
  7. Document patient information: Accurately record patient information, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans, in electronic medical records.
  8. Stay up-to-date on advancements: Stay informed about advancements in neurophysiology and diagnostic testing techniques, and continuously improve skills and knowledge through ongoing education and training.
  9. Provide compassionate care: Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families, and create a welcoming and supportive environment for those seeking care.
  10. Uphold organizational standards: Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, and maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Neuroscience Or A Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Neuroscience, Biology, Or A Related Field Is Essential For A Neurotechnologist Position At Orlando Health.

  • Experience With Electroencephalography (Eeg) Technology: Knowledge And Experience With Eeg Technology, Including Data Collection, Analysis, And Interpretation, Is A Key Qualification For This Role.

  • Familiarity With Neurological Disorders And Treatments: A Comprehensive Understanding Of Neurological Disorders, Such As Epilepsy, Parkinson's Disease, And Stroke, As Well As Current Treatments And Interventions, Is Crucial For A Neurotechnologist At Orlando Health.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Neurotechnologist, You Will Be Responsible For Analyzing Complex Data And Identifying Patterns And Abnormalities. Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Abilities: This Role Involves Working Closely With Physicians, Researchers, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Collaborate And Contribute To The Team's Success.
