- Perform diagnostic tests: Conduct various neurodiagnostic tests, such as electroencephalograms (EEGs), nerve conduction studies (NCS), and evoked potentials (EPs), to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
- Monitor and record results: Monitor patients during testing procedures and accurately record and analyze results to provide accurate data for physicians' interpretation.
- Maintain equipment: Ensure all neurodiagnostic equipment is properly calibrated and maintained to ensure accurate test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients and assist in the development of treatment plans.
- Educate patients: Explain testing procedures and provide support and education to patients and their families to help them understand the diagnostic process and ease any anxiety or concerns.
- Ensure patient safety: Follow established safety protocols to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients during testing procedures.
- Keep accurate records: Maintain accurate and thorough records of patient information, test results, and other pertinent data in accordance with departmental and hospital policies.
- Stay current with industry developments: Continuously stay updated with advancements in neurodiagnostic technology and techniques to provide the most effective and efficient care for patients.
- Train and mentor junior staff: Provide guidance and training to junior staff members to ensure they are following best practices and providing high-quality care to patients.
- Uphold hospital standards: Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Bachelor's Degree In Neuroscience, Neurodiagnostics, Or A Related Field.
Certified Neurodiagnostic Technologist (Ndt) Or Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.eeg T.).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Neurodiagnostics Role, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge And Experience With Advanced Neurodiagnostic Procedures, Including Eeg, Emg, And Evoked Potentials.
Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills, As Well As Attention To Detail And Ability To Work Independently.
