  1. Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
  2. Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety measures.
  3. Monitor patients during procedures and document any adverse reactions or changes in condition.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to obtain accurate and timely results for patient treatment and management.
  5. Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures, patient information, and quality assurance activities.
  6. Ensure compliance with radiation safety guidelines and protocols to protect patients, staff, and the public.
  7. Educate patients about the procedures and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
  8. Troubleshoot technical issues and perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay updated on advancements in nuclear medicine technology.
  10. Provide exceptional patient care by demonstrating compassion, empathy, and professionalism at all times.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control, privacy, and safety protocols.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to build positive relationships and ensure a smooth workflow.
  13. Attend and actively participate in department meetings, trainings, and continuing education opportunities.
  14. Serve as a role model and mentor for new staff members, students, and trainees.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or Related Field.

  • Certification From The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Nmtcb) Or The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Nuclear Medicine Technologist In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Radiation Safety Protocols And Regulations.

  • Ability To Operate And Troubleshoot Various Nuclear Medicine Equipment And Software.
